We asked our team and our online communities to share their best Norfolk Southern-themed costumes, and they delivered!
From the next generation of railroaders to families and our four-legged friends, NS was on full display for the spooky season, showing that the spirit of #TeamNS stretches far beyond the rails.
Here are a few of our favorites:
Robbie loves NS trains so much that his mom built him a train costume out of cardboard, complete with working lights and sounds. The most impressive part? The logos were hand-painted without stencils! He’s wearing it for the second year in a row because he loves it so much.
Maverick, aka Big Fella, helps his owner Keith, a Track Supervisor in Decatur, IL, clean out his hi-rail—even our four-legged friends are railroaders too!
Emmylou dressed up as her dad, Nathan, a conductor for NS.
Aspiring conductor Jameson, along with his moms, Kelly (C&S Supervisor - Pitcairn) and Kate (Assistant District Manager, Railway Investigations - Conway)—both members of #TeamNS—remind us all to stay safe around train tracks in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Colton said he wanted to be a railroader like his dad, Jon, who runs the glue buggy on R4.
Christy dressed up as her husband, who runs a backhoe out of Chicago Yard. Her friends couldn’t stop laughing!
Rex is a loyal dog who eagerly waits for his dad, Mike, to come home from railroading. His mom, Lindsay, said, "Families and pets of railroaders all sacrifice to keep transportation rolling. Rex is always the first out the door when Mike pulls up after a hard week at work. Thanks for remembering that NS workers have pets eagerly waiting for them at home. "
From all of us on Team NS, we wish you a safe and fun Halloween! From the candy for trick-or-treating to the cotton for your costumes, see what all we move to deliver for the spooky season.
