Norfolk Southern Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer John Orr recently joined William C. Vantuono, Editor-in-Chief of Railway Age, for a discussion at the 2024 Rail Insights Conference. During the conversation, Orr discussed a wide-range of positive changes underway at NS since he joined the company in March, including closely aligning Operations and Safety to enable performance, partnering with our labor unions, improving productivity, and closing productivity gaps. Orr also underscored the importance of involving all 20,000 members of NS’ workforce in advancing our culture of safety.
