Safety Kickoff 2025

Teams across our Northern Region are doubling down on safety and honing their railroading skills to start the new year. On Jan. 1, they began executing a carefully structured plan designed to help reduce injuries and incidents.

From building camaraderie over shared meals on New Year’s Day to completing peer-led exercises and workshops over the following two weeks, our railroaders are committed to a strong start that advances progress and improves our safety culture.

This includes aligning on goals and expectations for 2025, practicing daily operational tasks together, and improving our partnerships across functions.

“We want everyone to buy in to this approach,” said Craig Pequignot, Assistant Superintendent, Keystone Division. “By preparing together within and across teams, we can get ahead of problems, practice the skills that prevent incidents, and stay safe and productive.”

Thanks to all our dedicated railroaders for their commitment to safety and operational excellence!
